Q:  What Do Volunteers Do At Dress for Success Greater New York City?

A:  Our volunteers have a diverse range of experiences and professional skills and can use their expertise and interests to help mentor the women we serve.  Volunteering is an incredibly rewarding experience and there are so many great ways to make an impact. Some examples of volunteer activities include:

  • Leading a workshop on a topic of interest to you.
  • Helping with outreach initiatives like staffing an information table at an event.
  • Creating marketing and messaging materials like brochures or flyers.
  • Assisting clients with job-seeking.
  • Conducting skills assessments.
  • Helping to create career portfolios and career pathway action plans, and much more.
